microsoft works suite 2005 product key?

My computer crashed.. Im trying to reinstall my mircrosoft works suite 2005 using the product key off the back of the computer but it says its invalid. What do I do? I’ve tried calling Gateway and Microsoft but there is never a real person to help me. Only automation. can someone help me please? I’ve also tried online services but they want money.. which I don’t have.

The product key on the computer is MORE LIKELY to be for Windows – NOT Works

As already suggested contact Microsoft, or as an alternative download Open Office for free.
