How do I set UP MAC address filter?

How do I set up a mac address filter I already know how to get the number but how do i use it to block people. I have a gateway 2wire router if that helps anyone.

A model number would have been helpful. Have you had a poke about on the router’s web pages? Maybe it does not implement MAC filtering. That’s no great loss if it doesn’t, provided it provides WPA encryption. That’s all you need (with a 63 character passphrase) for top class security.
