How do I install Linux Mint 12 from a USB stick?
I currently have Ubuntu 11.10 installed on my Lenovo T60p and would like to install Linux Mint 12 over it. I don’t have any CDs or DVDs i could use; I only have a 4GB USB stick. I want to overwrite Ubuntu, not make a separate partition. Thanks in advance.
1) use your package manager to install unetbootin
2) download your ISO for mint install
3) use unetbootin to create a bootable USB drive from this ISO
4) Boot from USB drive
