when you installed the disc did it ask for a code. The code should be on the back of your instruction booklet on the very top. Or maybe you computer cant support the game. How old is your computer? Or you got the wrong game for your computer, does the game work on Windows Home and vista? Which windows do you have? The game could be damaged too through the production. Or your disc drive just took a crap.
