What are some great areas in Big Bear area?

I’d like to be near the skiing slopes. I am not looking to stay at a lodge, I’m planning to stay in a rented cabin. Any good cabin rental sites? Mainly I just want to know what area of Big Bear is the nicest to be in and close to the skiing slopes. Thanks everyone!
I mean, I know the areas around Big Bear are Moonridge, Sugarloaf, Snow Summit (as well as many others), so I just want to know what area is nice and close to the slopes as well. Thanks!

Snow Summit is right by the slopes. You can’t go wrong there. Moonridge is also close.
