german shepherd dog – homemade food?
i have a GSD 2.5months old male,highly energetic,perfect health,no allergies.
loves playing and running after toys,gets lots and lots of exercise in that way.actually he never stops playing
so, what i want is a good dog food recepie with all essential protiens and calories he will need.something simple, and most importantly, “something that can be made with the ingredients we generally have at our homes”.
because i live in INDIA where we have only one brand of processed dog food (which is expensive for me), i thought, i will make a perfect dog food myself. so please help me out

and, i need help with the raw meat diet.
if any one of u are giving ‘raw meat diet’ to your dog, please share your expieriences coz i have never tried that on mine.

i had a german shepherd puppy which i used to feed with this home made formula: 3/4 kg ragi, 1/4 kg wheat, 1/4 kg rice, 100g soya, 100 g dal, 100g nuts(dried fruits), 100g corn, various other lentils, pulses and beans like rajma, channa, jowar etc ( basically all the stuff u can find). get all these powdered together. this makes approx 2 kg powder. make this like a porridge with milk and water and feed him. trust me its wonderful. our puppy grew amazingly within no time. his coat was super shiny and smooth. he was very healthy. our doctor even recommended him for dog shows. its a super nutritious food. u can change the ingredients as per your dog’s taste. if u can sprout all the pulses first, dry it and then powder, then it would be even more healthy. otherwise u can powder them normally itself.
Regarding the raw meat….. i prefer dogs to have cooked meat than raw. it is always better to cook the meat so that the dog may not have any digestion problems. just pressure cook the meat with little water and mix the meat chunks with his porridge. the dog will love it.
