Why does my Compaq Armada M700 no longer powers from the battery and does not rechage properly?

I got a problem where my M700 does not power from the battery and does not rechage at times, I upgraded to windows xp from windows 2000, never had anyproblems with both the OS’s, this problem only started about a year ago but I never had time to sort the problem out, would you think its a problem with my drivers? or the fact I might need to replace the battery? any help of anykind is welcome

ALL batteries die after a period of time…it just happen to “die” after you upgraded.

There are no DRIVERS to charge a battery, that is built into the laptop computer.

The price of the battery may shock you into buying a new laptop instead
