How do I export faster using Final Cut pro 7?

Hello,Im using final cut pro 7 and im trying to export my video.Ive noticed that changing some of the sequence settings(like compressor)make the export time slower and faster.The one im using right now is HDV720p60 and its taking about 30 minutes to export a 10 minute video.Is this the fastest export time i can get or can i get an export time in like 5 minutes instead of 30?Im exporting as quicktime coversion too.

Tweaking final cut pro like you have already done is one option for increasing export speed. Another thing that can help is if you reboot your computer before doing and export and after everything has loaded start the export process.

Maybe there are other tweaks like changing your buffer size for your memory or tweaking your registry or making sure that you have plenty of hard disk space to serve as virtual memory, but I would have to be sitting in front of your computer to explore those options.

Another thing you could try is upgrading your RAM memory if it isn’t all of the way full already.

Rendering videos takes a lot of processing and memory resources and there isn’t just one “fix” to speed it up.
